A small sample of the 41 profiles of Allied aircraft against whom the Tainan kokutai fought.

The markings of RAAF No. 75 Squadron Kittyhawks are the first accurate ones in colour to be published, and were drawn up in consultation with an expert of WW2 RAAF Pacific markings, Gordon Birkett.

With the exception of several P-39 and P-400 Airacobras, few Allied aircraft in the book have been profiled before.

The below painting depicts a RAAF Kittyhawk at -7Mile Drome, Port Moresby, with Hombrom's Bluff in the background.
