I was very impressed with the book “Eagles of the Southern Sky” put out by Luca Ruffato and Michael Claringbould.  I understand that Luca sadly passed away which is a huge loss to the aviation world, however I hope that Michael does not mind me referencing him in the blog.  Hopefully you will agree with my comments about the P-39 which I feel gets a bit of a raw deal in the history books.  Eagles of the Southern Sky certainly reinforced my opinion about this aircraft type and I did not realise it did as much work as Michael and Luca have pointed out.  So they have done justice to both the Tainan and Allies.
